For very large numbers of requests, it is advisable to send the list of desired items at least the day before (write to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it\">servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Consultation of bibliographic resources that have not yet been stamped and inventoried, nor of those in a poor state of preservation, is not permitted.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Consultation of sound and audiovisual material<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the library premises, it is possible to access sound and audiovisual material. Sound and audiovisual material must be used in compliance with copyright provisions. Users are expressly forbidden from duplicating the library's sound and audiovisual resources.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Consultation of works of special importance or value (ancient, rare and valuable resources)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Users conducting scientific research of a musicological, historical or bibliographic nature can request to consult ancient, rare and valuable resources by filling out the request form at the circulation desk. For very large numbers of requests, it is advisable to send the list of desired items at least the day before (write to: <a href=\"mailto:servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it\">servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Classroom consultation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For educational and research purposes, internal users (students and teachers of the Conservatoire) are permitted to consult the library's bibliographic resources in the classroom. The requesting library will receive an email with the cost estimate for the service and payment instructions. Once the estimate has been accepted, the dispatch procedure is initiated.<\/p>\n<p>Resources admitted to interlibrary loan are those admitted to the home loan service.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Document Delivery<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Provision of copies of documents<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The service of providing copies of documents (<em>Document Delivery<\/em>) provides internal users (students and teachers at the Conservatoire) with reproductions of a part of a bibliographic resource not held by the Conservatoire's library (e.g. a chapter in a monograph or an article in a periodical) and provides other libraries with reproductions of parts of bibliographic resources held by the Conservatoire's library.<\/p>\n<p>Requests must be sent by email to the address: <a href=\"mailto:servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it\">servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it<\/a>\u00a0accompanied by comprehensive bibliographical data.<\/p>\n<p>The library operates on a reciprocal free-of-charge basis, therefore no reimbursement of expenses is required. Free reproduction is carried out exclusively<strong>\u00a0in compliance with current legislation on copyright<\/strong>\u00a0(Law No. 633 of 22 April 1941 and subsequent amendments and additions) and by methods that do not involve any physical contact with the property, nor the exposure of the same to light sources, nor, within cultural institutes, the use of stands or tripods. The dissemination by any means of images of cultural property, legitimately acquired, is also free, in such a way that they cannot be further reproduced for profit.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Photocopying at headquarters<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Conservatoire provides users with photocopy machines\u00a0<em>self-service<\/em>\u00a0available in the Library. It is necessary to purchase a \u20ac5 or \u20ac10 prepaid card (including a \u20ac3 deposit) directly at the distribution counter in the Library; the cards are non-refundable and do not expire. The cost of photocopies is \u20ac0.05 for Conservatory students and teachers and \u20ac0.10 for all other users.<\/p>\n<p>For reasons of preservation and protection, the reproduction by means of photocopying of printed bibliographic resources with a publication date after 1920 is permitted, provided that they have already been inventoried and catalogued and that they are in a good state of preservation.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Digital scans of historical material<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For bibliographic resources excluded from photocopying, it is possible to request a digital scan. To access the service, users must send the request by email, accompanied by complete bibliographic data, to the address:<em>\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"mailto:servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it\">servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it<\/a>. The user will receive an email with the quote for the service expense reimbursement and payment instructions. Once the quote is accepted, the dispatch procedure is activated.<\/p>\n<p>The digitised bibliographic resource is sent, in jpeg or pdf format, usually via WeTransfer or similar service, upon presentation of the payment receipt.<\/p>\n<p>The Library keeps copies of the reproductions in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/search.bibliotecadigitale.consmilano.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Digital library<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Downloading images from the Digital Library<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Platform\u00a0<em>open source<\/em>\u00a0DSpace-GLAM managing the<a href=\"https:\/\/search.bibliotecadigitale.consmilano.it\/\">\u00a0Digital library<\/a> it allows the downloading of images of the Library's digitised heritage. To access the service, requests accompanied by complete bibliographic details must be sent to the address:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it\">servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Editorial or commercial use of images (requests for reproductions of historical material or downloads from the Digital Library)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For the editorial or commercial use of images of the Library's heritage, users must request prior authorisation from the Library. To access the service, it is necessary to send the request, accompanied by complete bibliographic data, to the address: <a href=\"mailto:servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it\">servizi.biblioteca@consmilano.it<\/a>. Once permission has been granted, the user is obliged to include in the publication the complete bibliographical citation of the source of origin.<\/p>\n<div  class='avia-icon-list-container workstations are primarily intended for consulting the Library's electronic catalogue, searching for information on books and musical works held by Italian and foreign libraries, and consulting out operations that affect or compromise the regular operation of the network or restrict its usability and performance for other users;<\/li>\n<li>alter, remove or damage configurations of the\u00a0<em>software<\/em>\u00a0and of the\u2019<em>hardware;<\/em><\/li>\n<li>install\u00a0<em>software<\/em>;<\/li>\n<li>entering chat rooms or making virtual phone calls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Library guarantees its users access to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consmi.it\/en\/risorse-e-repertori-online\/\">databases, journals, ebooks and other digital collections<\/a>, in accordance with the constraints of subscription contracts, via PCs available to users in the Library or via the network\u00a0<em>wireless<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>For students and teachers of the Conservatoire, access to these such as PDF files or scanned images\/texts.<\/p>\n<p>The conversion process involves four simple steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Uploading the original file;<\/li>\n<li>Choice of final (output) format;<\/li>\n<li>Send request;<\/li>\n<li>Receipt by e-mail of the converted and accessible file or the download link in the case of large file sizes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Submitted documents will be automatically deleted when the conversion is completed.<br \/>\nThe processed file will be available for 7 days. After this period, the requested processing will be automatically deleted from the server.<\/p>\n<p>Students and staff of the \u201cG.
