The Counsellor of Trust of the Milan Conservatory is a specialist, external and impartial figure who contributes to the promotion and creation of a work and study environment based on well-being, respect and the protection of the dignity of staff, female students and male students.

Tasks of the Trust Adviser

While strictly maintaining confidentiality, the Confidential Counsellor offers a qualified listening space to staff members experiencing particular work-related distress attributable to discriminatory behaviour, sexual harassment or psychological bullying, including phenomena akin to mobbing, as well as to students who suffer harassment and/or violence within the academic context.

In close collaboration with the Administration, the Confidential Counsellor deals with:

  • examine and investigate reports concerning bullying, harassment or discrimination, including by hearing witnesses and accessing administrative acts and documents, as well as premises, offices or facilities of the Conservatoire;
  • check cases of harassment and/or violence involving female students in the academic context;
  • manage and, where possible, facilitate the resolution of the concrete cases detected;
  • identify relational and organisational factors at the root of situations of distress;
  • to submit proposals to the Administration aimed at ensuring the immediate cessation of discriminatory behavior or behavior detrimental to personal dignity;
  • draw up recommendations and proposals aimed at preventing the risk of work-related stress and improving organisational well-being.

Strict confidentiality will be guaranteed during the meetings. The information and testimonies gathered may be processed exclusively in anonymous and aggregated form, in order to formulate proposals for the prevention of work-related stress risk and the improvement of the quality of working life.
