Audio Video Service Centre (SAV)

The following services of the SAV-ConsMi Centre are available

  1. Audio-video recordings of the conservatory season concerts and various productions (Masterclasses, Awards, Seminars, etc.);
  2. Support for productions requiring audio-visual technologies;
  3. Audio-video recordings at the request of the students and used to participate in selections and competitions;
  4. Audio and audio-video recordings at the request of teachers and organisations outside the Conservatory.

Method of access to SAV-ConsMi services:

Concert and Conservatory production recordings are scheduled at the start of each academic year and will become part of the Conservatory's digital media library; all other recording services are governed by the following:

  1. Requests should be forwarded to the Management: direttore@consmilano.it and in the Cc at the SAV centre: centrosav@consmilano.it detailing the staff and the intended use of the recording, while for students it is necessary to specify the supervising teacher;
  2. Requests should be submitted no less than one month before the days on which you plan to shoot;
  3. Following the management's approval, the applicant books the chosen room at the offices in charge and communicates the agreed date to the SAV-ConsMi centre;
  4. The basic service includes a 3-hour recording time, with a fixed camera and stereophonic audio recording, post-production with extraction and editing of the parts of the recording selected by the performers, and delivery via a download link for the finalised recording; any additional post-production work will be charged and agreed upon separately;
  5. For the recordings planned for students, the Board of Directors has set a service fee of 200.00 euros; for internal teaching staff and external bodies, the payment amount will be calculated based on the hours scheduled for filming and use of the rooms, the post-production hours and the type of audio or audio-video finalisation.

The SAV-ConsMi Centre has:

  • one recording studio professional digital audio (Ex Studio RAI) connected via network to recording rooms;
  • two post-production studios audio-video connected to a digital repository on a server;
  • a mobile system and a digital mixer for recordings and productions, including outdoors.

The recording rooms are: Verdi Hall, Puccini Hall, Choir Room, Room 112.

It is still possible to make recordings for masterclasses, seminars, lectures, workshops, or other events in any room of the Conservatoire and externally.

It is organised by a coordinator delegated by the Director, the M° Massimo Marchi, one official, two collaborators and some 200-hour scholarship holders. Students from the School of Electronic Music and the three-year Sound Technician course collaborate on recordings and productions.
