Rhythmic Symphony Orchestra of the Milan Conservatory

The rhythmic symphonic orchestra originated from the need to combine the timbral and harmonic refinements of early 20th-century musical languages with the new sensibility of large film and musical productions; a need that found a solution in the fusion of the complete ensemble of a traditional symphony orchestra with the powerful rhythmic body of a jazz big band.

From the Academic Year 2021/2022, the Conservatory of Milan also has a rhythmic symphony orchestra within it, which, in addition to concerts in Sala Verdi, already has a highly acclaimed tour to Acqui Terme to its credit.
