The Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan offers a wide-ranging musical education covering the different levels of artistic education, up to the highest levels of professionalism and specialisation.
The didactic plan is designed both for those of school age who are approaching music for the first time; for those who have an elementary or even discrete knowledge of an instrument; and for those who wish to deepen their interest in music, matured at any age. In fact, the educational offer includes courses spread over several years, but also the possibility of attending single courses for which enrolment in the entire course of study to which the single course belongs is not required.
Students wishing to undertake a music education aimed at a profession in one of the many specific fields can find the educational pathway that best meets their needs: from the Liceo musicale, to pre-academic courses intended especially for those who are already attending other schools, to academic training (first and second level) up to Master's degrees and post-graduate specialisations.
The numerous courses of study envisaged make use of different types of lessons, which are flanked by initiatives of various kinds, aimed at promoting students and encouraging their entry into the world of work. This is why the didactics of the Milan Conservatory of Music, in addition to well-structured courses, offers in-depth studies outside the curricular courses in order to offer a musical education that is able to meet the increasingly broad and diversified demands of specific professional figures. Particular attention is paid to research, production and artistic creation activities that best represent and qualify a public institution of higher education.
