Masterclasses and seminars offer students an opportunity to deepen and refine their repertoire, make contact with artists and educators with international experience, improve their technical and musical skills, and prepare to face their future profession and career..
Nevertheless, thanks to the organisation of Master classes and Seminars, the Conservatory comes into contact with important foreign institutions and with personalities of world-class concert performance.
Masterclasses and seminars are not just for internal students, but also for musicians not enrolled at the Conservatoire., They can participate as staff members or as auditors.
Participation is also open to the public who simply wants to attend master classes given by renowned artists.
MASTER CLASS
For Master classes, participants are divided into:
auditors;
• active, for which a selection is planned (active participation is also valid for the awarding of credits. 70% of the available places will be reserved for internal students, the remaining 30% for external students. Should those deemed suitable not reach these percentages, the vacant places may be distributed to internal or external students as appropriate).
In the week prior to the Master Class, auditions will be held, common for internal and external, on the programme to be presented to the visiting Professor. Candidates may propose a pianist of their own choice or use the one provided by the Conservatoire. In the latter case, this must be mentioned at the time of registration, and copies of the pieces to be performed must be attached. Composers must submit two scores at the time of registration. Where not otherwise indicated, participants will be entitled to at least one hour of tuition each from the visiting Professor. Registration must be completed by all prospective participants, whether internal or external, solely by filling in the dedicated form on the Conservatoire website. Registration generally closes approximately 30 days before the Masterclass or Seminar.
For outsiders to the Milan Conservatory, the following fixed rates apply:
For actual students only:
• €30.00 for administrative and admission fees;
• €70.00 frequency for a one-day Masterclass;
• €120.00 per masterclass lasting two days or more.
Upon registration, registered students must attach the receipt for the payment of €30.00. The receipt for the payment of the Masterclass must be presented to the Masterclass and Seminar Office before the start of the activity. Those who do not comply with this provision will not be able to attend as registered students.
SEMINARS
The seminars are group activities open to all without prior selection.
Participation is free of charge.

The payment of the fee of £30.00 for administrative charges must be made via the PagoPA application available at the following link: https://pagopaesterni.consmi.it/masterclass/Dirittidisegreteria.

Payment of the registration fee will be requested at a later date, once participation as a Full Member has been confirmed.
For the purposes of issuing the certificate of attendance and the recognition of credits, the presence of internal and external students is mandatory for the entire duration of the Masterclass or Seminar.

The deadline for submitting nominations is 10 May 2019. Voting will be held on 5 to 7 June 2019, with a possible runoff scheduled for 17 to 19 June 2019.
