Verdi Hall

Capable today of 1420 seats, it was built in 1908 on the site of the first cloister of St. Mary of the Passion (the second is the present cloister of the Conservatory).
Destroyed by bombing in August 1943, it was rebuilt after the war to a very innovative design by architect. Ferdinando Reggiori, and inaugurated with a concert conducted by Antonino Votto on 18 May 1958.

Its acoustics are still considered one of the best in Europe. It was restored in 2001 to a design by arch. Pierluigi Cerri and by the Umberto Micheli Foundation.

Today, the Verdi Hall is the venue for major Milanese concert seasons, and is partially used for educational initiatives, especially in the morning hours.

Like the Puccini Hall, it is equipped with a cloakroom and spaces that allow side events to be organised alongside the concerts.

The Conservatoire has a large bar that is also always open in the evenings during concerts.
